The Society of Black Students in Healthcare provides a supportive and empowering community that fosters diversity and representation within the healthcare field. We work to connect with like-minded individuals who understand the distinctive challenges and obstacles faced by Black students pursuing careers in healthcare. The Society offers a network of 500+ Black students ranging from freshman in high school to healthcare professionals, nationwide, valuable opportunities, mentorship programs, and access to resources that can enrich educational and professional development. We believe in the importance of advocating for equitable healthcare practices and increasing minority representation in the industry. Ultimately, we aim to create meaningful change, promote inclusivity, and representation to inspire future generations of Black healthcare professionals through our core pillars: Service and Community.

Service

Organizing events, workshops, and educational programs to raise awareness about healthcare disparities affecting black communities and advocating for diversity, equity, and inclusion within the healthcare industry to ensure equal opportunities for black professionals.

Community

Empowering black students pursuing healthcare careers through mentorship, networking, and professional development opportunities. While, fostering a community that celebrates the achievements and contributions of black individuals in the healthcare sector.

    We provide resources and opportunities for Black students to succeed, such as scholarships, internships, mentorship, and application assistance.

  • Engaging Youth

    Through our activities, programs, and community service we expose underprivileged students to valuable information, resources, and opportunities.

  • Mentorship

    We provide mentorship to ensure academic and professional development of students pursuing higher education and especially those from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds looking to succeed in the world of healthcare.
